Negotiation is a fact of life. Every day we are involved in some or the other kind of negotiation deals. Negotiation is a major aspect of closing a profitable contract. This involves getting the best deal possible without jeopardizing the client relationship. As a result, while closing sales, cross-selling, and up-selling products and services, sales people often concede too easily to customer demands.
Good negotiation is not about you winning and someone else losing. It is, about how to play the game better, because in the end negotiation is a game. And like any other game, it has rules and regulations.
